The Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation's Responsible Gambling Conference was held October 6-7, 2008, at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel

The two-day Conference:

• Included a Welcome Reception sponsored by the Canadian Gaming Association which offered attendees a casual networking opportunity.
• Provided attendees with relevant information ranging from responsible gambling to new technology.
• Illustrated the importance of an industry-wide commitment to social responsibility and responsible gambling.
• Gave attendees the opportunity to learn from and interact with one another.

Throughout the two days, attendees were given the choice of attending one of two concurrent sessions. One focused on responsible gambling and social responsibility within the industry which was particularly relevant to industry operators, regulators, managers and employees, while the other addressed more general interests, including research, responsible gambling education and youth prevention.
